Explore Gurukrupa

Tucked away in Milpitas, Gurukrupa at 1466 N Milpitas Blvd is a delightful stop for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors with a twist of Indo-Chinese flair. This cozy spot is actually the Indo-Chinese “branch” of Annapoorna, one of the Bay Area’s most popular restaurants known for its Maharashtrian dishes, so you can expect the same level of care and quality in every order. Whether you’re grabbing takeout or dining in, the menu is packed with dishes that showcase both traditional Indian spices and Chinese-inspired textures. Favorites like the veg manchurian, hakka noodles, and veg fried rice are consistently prepared with precision, and the soya chaap and matar kulche are standout items that highlight the chef’s passion for flavorful, homemade cooking.

The atmosphere at Gurukrupa leans toward casual, and while the décor is simple and could benefit from some upgrades, it doesn’t take away from the heart of the experience, which is clearly the food. Each dish feels made with genuine care, the kind of attention that makes you feel like you’re getting a homemade meal rather than something mass-produced. Portions are generous, and the seasoning is spot-on, delivering that perfect balance of spice and aroma that lingers pleasantly. Service is friendly and attentive, with staff eager to guide first-time visitors through the menu, ensuring you get the best out of your meal.

For those who appreciate authenticity, the flavors here are truly memorable. The combination of spices, textures, and the love poured into cooking transforms even a simple takeout into something special. The vibe is unpretentious and welcoming, making it ideal for casual dinners, quick lunches, or late-night cravings. While Gurukrupa is not about fancy plating or elaborate décor, it more than makes up for it with taste and consistency. It’s the kind of place where the food tells the story, each bite reflecting tradition, care, and a deep passion for Indian cuisine with a creative Indo-Chinese twist. Every visit feels like discovering a hidden gem in Milpitas, a spot where food lovers can indulge in comfort, flavor, and heartwarming authenticity.

I recently had brunch at Gurukrupa, a cozy neighborhood restaurant with new ownership. The Podi Idli and Kothu Parotta were standouts, scoring 8/10 and 9/10 respectively. The owner's engaging conversation about the food added to the experience. We also received a complimentary Batata Vada, which was a solid 7/10. However, the Chole Kulche fell a bit short at around 6/10 due to an overpowering chat masala flavor. The Masala Chai was a highlight, earning a strong 9/10, while the Pav Bhaji impressed with a delicious 8/10 rating. The Rice Idli offered a decent option at 7/10. Unfortunately, the Malai Soya Chaap didn't live up to expectations. Overall, despite the tight parking, Gurukrupa offers a great dining experience worth trying, especially for its friendly neighborhood vibe and tasty dishes.

It's a pretty good South Indian breakfast place! I almost tried everything at a time, and food quality was good. Food and service are good but if you want to go to a fancy place, it's not the one for you! Last but not least, it's a value for money place and worth a visit!

Tried lot of different dishes all together! Honestly felt like there’s a wide range of tastefulness between different variety of dishes. Loved podi idly, kothu parotha and chai! Awesome taste. Flavorful all together. They could do better with Chole kulche and soya chaap. Overall for that price range, food exceeds expectation. Must try restaurant.

I go to Gurukrupa at least twice a week for lunch and order their lunch meal which comes with 2 roti, 2 subzi, daal and rice. They make everything in good quality oil and everything they make is very fresh. You can just feel it. Quantity is also enough for lunch. The manager is very kind and they do not compromise on the quality.

This is the Indo-Chinese "branch" of Annapoorna, the most popular restaurant in the Bay Area that serves Mahastrian food. True to their quality and service, our take out experience has been great all along. We've ordered veg manchurian, hakka noodles, veg fried rice so far and everything was made well.
